DESIGN REASONING
Condition
The station had to respond to traffic on Route 27 and bring together refueling, restrooms, food service and rest for different vehicles and travelers.
Operation
The forecourt is organized to keep refueling fluid and safe, while large openings bring light into dining and stay areas.
Outcome
Operational and pedestrian routes are clearly legible, and the rest area is separated from the continuous movement of the refueling zone.
